One of the corridors of the Ludwig Maximilian University (or LMU), It was originally founded in 1472 in Ingolstadt before moving to Landshut and finally to Munich in 1826 under King Ludwig I. LMU is closely associated with 50 Nobel Laureates, including legendary physicists Werner Heisenberg, Max Planck, and Wilhelm Conrad Röntgen. With over 52,000 students, it is the second-largest university in Germany.
