Description

Built in just nine months during 1556-1557 by Hieronymus Lotter, the Old City Hall (Altes Rathaus) in Leipzig is a premier example of German Renaissance architecture. Located in the market square, it features a distinctive off-center tower, historically served as a courthouse and prison, and now houses the City History Museum.
