Museum on the Mound (Edingburgh)

Description

The building designed by Richard Crichton and Robert Reid is a stunning example of Palladian and Baroque Revival architecture. Among the most surprising items of the museum is an eighteenth-century iron kist (chest), one million pounds in (real but invalidated) cash in a display cabinet and the first Scottish bank note from 1716.
