To the Prayer Hall (Karla)

Description

Karla Caves are ancient Buddhist rock-cut caves developed from the 2nd century BCE to the 5th century CE, serving as a vital monastery on an old trade route. This door is one of the flanking side-entrances to the massive Chaitya Hall (prayer hall). The sculpted figures represent the patrons and donors, who funded this monastery.
