The Campanile at Trinity College (Dublin)

Description

The iconic arch-tower in Trinity College Dublin is called the Campanile. Built in 1853, it stands 30.5 meters (100 feet) tall and guards the heart of Library Square. According to a popular student superstition, if you walk under the Campanile while its bell is tolling, you will fail your upcoming exams. Students give it a wide berth during finals season, making a celebratory walk under it a rite of passage only reserved for graduation day.
