Bavarian Shooting Club (Mittenwald)

The building of "die Königlich privilegierte Feuerschützengesellschaft Mittenwald von 1736 e.V." is a traditional shooting club in the Bavarian town of Mittenwald. The marking "20 C + M + B 14" is a traditional Christian blessing written in chalk above front doors during the Epiphany. It acts as a prayer for protection and a dedication of the home to God. The 20 and 14 is the year the blessing was performed (2014), C+M+B stands for Latin phrase Christus mansionem benedicat (May Christ bless this house)..
